Tropical fish are some of the most popular type of fish around that people love to collect! This is in part due to their colorful and bright shades, making them stand out from the other fishes.
Some will even take the trouble and effort to have them imported into the country, however there are some problems that might comes with every import to your aquarium, here are some factors you should consider before you purchase them to ensure that you have the perfect environment for them to thrive in.
Firstly, you have to decide if you're going to have a freshwater tank or a saltwater one.
Because not every fish can live with the high salinity of saltwater, you might want to find out what sort of options you have in terms of fish breed before you decide.
Maintaining safety and efficiency of your freshwater aquarium is also easier than to upkeep a saltwater one.
One benefit from having a saltwater tank is that it have a wider range of more colorful breed in terms of fishes.
Another thing to consider is the size of your aquarium; although generally these fishes would not outgrow a small tank, finding out if they can live in a smaller habitat will ensure that they do not die of easily.
Also consider the type of breed and whether they can co-exist or not, even though they might be of the same type they can still end up aggressive towards each other.

Your aquarium temperature will also play a big part when choosing what type of fish you want to rare, it might be wise to choose the type of fish where you do not have to increase or decrease the temperature of the water to suit them.
