Because it can be prevented by a healthy urinary tract, it therefore follows that a substantial amount of fluid intake and maintaining optimum hydration is very effective in eliminating UA from your body. Establishing a well-balanced fluid intake in your body is therefore essential in the task of prevention and treatment of this condition and its symptoms.

Water is the most logical remedy for gout. In order to maintain hydration and to effectively lessen the uric acid in your system, it is highly recommended that you drink copious amounts; as much as 96 fluid ounces or 5 pints of water daily. Aside from aiding the kidney and urinary tract in flushing out uric acid from the body, water also helps in ridding the body of toxins which can store in your joints. Truly, water is a frequently overlooked aid in achieving excellent health. However, make sure it is pure water or reverse osmosis filtered water, and not tap water.
