Handicap Hand Controls

Being handicapped limits your life in so many ways and for a long time being able to drive simply wasn't possible without the use of your legs.
Thankfully times are changing, and once where those which were disabled couldn't drive, nowadays there's nothing stopping someone from changing their life and getting back a lot of the freedom they lost.
Driving is one thing that gives ordinary people a sense of freedom and allows them to travel up and down the country as they please.
But it's not day trips around the world that make a big difference, in reality it's the little things that count.
Simple tasks such as going to the supermarket or visiting the pharmacists become a massive choir if you're unable to drive.
Gaining the freedom to drive again is something handicapped people will tell you are utterly life changing.
Instead of constantly relying on others for help, a genuine sense of individuality and confidence is restored.
Handicap hand controls come as a simple kit which allows you to attach equipment and mechanisms to the foot pedals, meaning that all the controls that require feet to use now can be operated by hand.
Usually there are levers and buttons near the steering wheel for the break/accelerator and so on which allow the driver to operate each pedal effectively using simply his hands.
Although to you and me this may seem like somewhat a precarious method of driving, once the technique of driving is learnt it's no more dangerous seeming than when you or I first sat in a car utterly bamboozled by everything going on around us!
