Race nights can are quite popular and can pull a big crowd.
Putting on a race night to raise funds for your favourite charity can be great fun.
Here are a few tips.
  • The Law.
    Check with your local authority as to the regulations as to what you can and cannot do.
    These regulations will vary from place to place.
  • Find a Venue.
    Race nights go down well in pubs.
    Ask your local pub they would mind putting a race night on for you.
    Most times they will as it brings in trade for them.
  • What you will need.
    There are a number of companies that provide what you need what you need for a race night.
    You have the choice of having them attend the event and doing everything, or you can just hire the stuff you need and do it yourself.
    The DIY option is the cheapest.
    If you decide to do it yourself they will provide with a DVD, containing about eight races, and the tickets and other paperwork.
    There are many companies on the Internet providing these services, and they will supply with in depth instructions on how to go about running the night.
  • Date and Time.
    A date and time will have to be set for the event.
    This should be far enough in the future to enable you to promote the event.
  • Promote the Event.
    It is now time to promote the event.
    Use every means possible to promote it.
    Local press, local radio, posters in strategic places etc.
  • Dress Code.
    To make the event feel as authentic as possible you might be a good idea to set a dress code.
    Try to get your guests to arrive dressed as though they were attending a real race meeting.
Raising funds for charity can be very rewarding.
The most important thing to remember is to have fun doing it.
