Luckily, general aviation is starting to pick up again after the global economic crisis.
For a while there, many corporations with corporate aircraft were looked down upon, and Congress frowned upon those executives who took stimulus money showing up for congressional hearings in private jets.
This combination was a double whammy to the private jet manufacturing sector here the United States.
We build the best private jet aircraft, and we are known for our quality throughout the world.
If you are a multimillionaire or billionaire you want the best airplane money can buy, and one that will not come apart or have maintenance problems in flight, therefore you buy an American corporate jet product.
Because of this we have seen a sharp rebound in the corporate jet market, as other economies are recovering, along with our own albeit at a slower pace.
What else have these companies been doing to sell more of their jets to corporate America and wealthy individuals? According to an excellent piece on CNBC there is a moderate increase in Private Jet and Cabin Class Twins, such as King Airs, sales finally since the 2008 global economic crash.
The article and video stated; "For Hawker Beechcraft they are watching 70% of their sales coming from abroad Russia, Africa, China, and Middle East, and 30% from North America.
Hoping for 50% - 50% by 2014, but right now the weak dollar and growth in emerging markets are really boosting sales internationally.
" But even more interesting is that those who purchase a private Hawker Jet will also get a speedy bonus, a Lotus Evora (valued at about: $65,175 to $82,675 ), in your choice of color and with plenty of the most common options! Well, we've all seen the YouTube Videos and we know which one is faster right? Still, both are pretty fast in their own venues.
The Wall Street Journal made an interesting statement about this offer; "Nobody is going to buy a $7 million jet to get an $80,000 sports car" but hinted at the reality that; if you are in the market for a new $7 million private jet, no one is going to refuse this little bonus either, and it just might give them a sales boost while helping both brands with a little free PR in the process.
It turns out this strategy has worked.
Lotus has enjoyed being associated with private jets, and Hawker is making headlines for their most excellent aircraft products.
Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it, because information and news is of no value without a proper analyst.
