Removing Skin Tags - Are You Bothered by Skin Tags?

103 14
The process of removing skin tags is not a complicated one, but you would think it was if you noticed what dermatologists charge for this simple procedure these days.
Some people are prone to this problem and just have a horrible time with it.
Others are never bothered with it at all.
No one really knows the exact reason but some thought is given to the possibility that overweight people have more of an issue with skin tags simply because of the skin rubbing together.
This makes sense in some cases but not all since one of the most common places you may have these is on your eyelid.
Since eyelids are not rubbing against anything (let's hope), that theory seems to have some holes.
But how can you get rid of them? Well, some doctors advise that you can just slice them off with a razor or cut them with a pair of scissors.
Some, like myself, might find that hard to stomach.
It sounds a bit on the painful side to me, and I'd worry about bleeding and possible infection.
If you do go this route, be sure to have some styptic powder on hand to staunch any blood flow immediately.
If the tag is very small it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Now, if your skin tag is located in the more delicate groin area, it is not advisable to use this method of removal.
In this case you may want to go ahead and bite the bullet and see your dermatologist or gynecologist and find out if they recommend removal.
Wart treatment like Compound W is said to be one way to treat these annoying "moles" as some people call them, although they are technically not moles or warts.
