Adoptable Shelter Cats Picture Gallery: Cayenne

Surely someone with an FIV+ cat and room in their home and heart for another, would give this great cat a loving home for life. He really does deserve a break!

Some cats just don't seem to get a break in this life! Cayenne was born on the streets, no one to take care of him, no one to make sure he is safe or warm or fed. When he was finally rescued as a young kitten, everything seemed to be looking up. A warm place to sleep, plenty of food and people to love him. But he was tested and it turns out he has FIV. Sure, not that big of a deal really...you and I know that.

With good food and good care, FIV doesn't mean a short or sick life. Unfortunately, most people aren't interested in FIV+ cats no matter what!

Cayenne has been with us since he was a kitten. He is now 5 years old. He is a bit shy and sometimes he hides. But as soon as anyone touches him, the purring begins and doesn't stop until he is all purred out! Cayenne would love to find a calm, quiet home with another cat. He deserves that good break in his life!
