Thomas The Tank Engine

The original Thomas was known as Thomas The Tank Engine (not thomas the tank train). Thomas had a job, he was known as the station pilot. He would basically line locamotives up with work... This bored him. He wanted a better job like Gordon who was an express train.

His true potential was notice after he saved the lives of his fellow trains as well as the Fat Director. He was eventually given his own branch that he was personally responsible for. His companions were Annie, Percy and Tram (I don't think I forgot any).

According to the Thomas in 1964 he was a small tank that lived in gigantic station. He had 6 little wheels, a condensed funnel along with a stumpy boiler. He has a really cheeky personality and always respected others but he felt noone took him seriously or respected him..

Shortly after this book was revisted in 1979, His personally was altered ti fit those of younger children. The original creator of the series was a little upset at the beginning but once the money began to pour in he was fine with the changes.

The original line that Thomas was in charge of stood for No Where ( NW). Later on it was changed to the North Western Railway... Isn't that funny?. There were quite a few changes over the years but in time they grew on the character we all know and love and that's how Thomas The Tank emerged to what he is today. So now children all over the world can engine Thomas and the rest of his team.

Side note every time I go into a store (that has toys) my son rushes to the toy section in search for a new thomas. This can be very expensive over time. So I have created a site that displays discounted (not used) thomas and other train accessories
