Rameshwaram is an island situated in the Gulf of Mannar at the tip of the Indian peninsula. It is known as the Varanasi of South India and part of the Char Dham pilgrimages. This conch shaped Island is spread over an area of 31 miles in length and 7 miles in width and connected to the mainland through the Pamban Bridge. This temple is a perfect piece of Dravadian architectural style and houses the largest temple corridor in India.
