Several Short Treks in Kathmandu Valley
Kathmandu valley is the capital city of Nepal inhibiting more than 2.5 million people living in four major cities like Patan, Kirtipur, Thimi and Bhaktapur. The city Kathmandu got its name from a temple called Kasthamandap situated in Durbar Square, Basantapur. The temple was built by Nepali King Laxmi Narsingh Malla in 1596 by using only one giant tree according to history. No iron nails for support were used while building this magnificent temple.
Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) is the only international airport of Nepal that is located in Kathmandu. Every trekkers start then journey to Nepal by landing in this airport.
