Women's magazine - a magazine that gives you loads of information about facial skin care tips. From the dos and don'ts to what kinds of products to use if you want your great-looking skin, and so on and so forth. However, there is a doubt to the accuracy of this information. The truth is great-looking skin depends totally on what skin type each individual has. What constitutes to a good skin care routine varies greatly individually. Below are some of the facial skin care tips for four main skin types, including dry, oily, combination, and blemishes.

Dry Skin

Moisturize - the best facial care tip for dry skin. Moisturizer can be bought from a store or it can be made from home. Due to the harsh environments, not moisturizing will have adverse effects. Why wait until the problem arises? Start preventing dry skin from occurring in the first place. Drink lots of water, at least 8 glasses a day, to protect and hydrate your skin from the harsh elements. Add olive oil to your bathwater. Avoid bath or shower water that is too hot, as this will dry the skin. Avoid excessive caffeine and smoking or alcohol.

Oily Skin

Have oily skin? Use a toning lotion - astringents are the best, as it helps to close the pores. Astringents are the best suited for oily face as they eradicate excess oil. Try this: Splash your face periodically with cold water during the day improves the skin condition. Exfoliate at least two or three times per week. This prevents bacteria and oil from building up and clogging pores resulting in unsightly breakouts.

Combination Skin

Cleansing and toning is essential, but using harsher products than what your face can take will only cause drier skin or clogged pores. Another facial skin care tip: Use harsher products, such as astringents strictly for acne problems. Exfoliate twice a week. Exfoliating more or less than two times a week either strips the skin of oils, or causes them to build up.

Blemishes

For blemish-prone skin, keep your face clean by using gentle products, such as natural products, that will not irritate the skin. Avoid heavy make-up, and toxins such as nicotine, caffeine, and alcohol that make the blemish problem worse.

If your skin has any of the above mentioned problems, take care of your skin using the above tips. Knowing which toner is suitable for your skin type, or how often to exfoliate your skin makes a whole lot of difference for a younger and beautiful looking skin.
