How to Remove Cat Urine From Wood Floors
- 1). Blot the wood floor with a cloth or paper towels in order to dry the wood immediately after you notice the urine. Don't rub the wood floor with your towel, as you might rub the stain into the wood or scratch the floor.
- 2). Pour 2 cups of warm water and 1 cup of white distilled vinegar into the empty spray bottle. Shake the bottle so that the vinegar mixes with the water.
- 3). Spray the wood floor with the vinegar and water, making sure to cover the entire area that had cat urine on it. Leave the mixture on the floor for 5 to 10 minutes.
- 4). Put a cloth or towel over the wet part of the wood floor. Then, place a heavy item such as a book onto the cloth. Leave the item on top of the cloth for one hour so that the cloth can absorb all of the liquid.
- 5). Remove the cloth after an hour and look at your wood floor. Spray more of the vinegar and water solution if the stain isn't completely removed.
