Make Money At Home Selling Photos Online

If you enjoy taking photos of the places you visit or simply have a digital camera and need some extra money every month, selling photos online might be a great option.

Even though selling photos for profit is something anyone can do, not many people make a living out of it, simply because they don't have the patience and discipline to keep on working. When I first got started in this "industry", I was very happy selling a few dozens photos every month and making an extra $200 -- $300 per month out of it.

It was not until I went on a trip to Thailand that I realized how much potential this thing has. I remember I had a 6 MP digital camera with a 8 GB memory card. I used the whole storage space of the card to stock photos of the places I visited, taken from different angles (about 4000 photos, if I recall correctly).

When I got back home, I uploaded my photos to some of the websites I was working with and that is how it all started. During the next two months I made a total of a little more than $10.000!

And that money is not the only good thing that came out of this. I slowly started to receive offers from private buyers (mostly realtors and website owners) asking if I was willing to take a few pictures for them. Back then I still had a regular job, so I only did this in the evening, but earning even as much as $300 for an hour's work determined me to resign from my regular job and get in touch with more and more private buyers.

I am now happily making a living selling photos online and don't intend to get away from this.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that no matter how much you know about photography, there's no reason you couldn't earn at least a few hundreds of dollars by selling your photos.
