Exotic tropical fish are gaining popularity among aquarists because of the challenge and fun they bring.
While it is true that you will have a lot of responsibilities and it will be difficult and confusing at first, once you learn all the loops, everything you do will be rewarding.
Aside from they are breathtaking, they are also valuable.
Angel fish are one of the most beautiful tropical fish no wonder a lot of hobbyists are infatuated with them.
The first thing that you have to take care of is the aquarium.
No it's not difficult to set up the aquarium but it certainly requires knowledge and effort on your part.
Angel fish are delicate when they're young but they grow rapidly and breeding is not hard.
They grow in large numbers in the Amazon River and they're used to existing in soft and acidic water.
The water's pH level should be anywhere between 6 and 7.
2.
If we're talking about reproducing here, you're looking at 6.
5 to 6.
8 pH level.
Make sure that ammonia level is not too high as this can cause your fish's mortality.
Invest on a good quality filter to help you fulfill this task.
What about temperature? The ideal range should be 76 oF to 80 oF.
The next thing that you want to pay close attention to when caring for exotic tropical fish is feeding.
You can give your Angelfish some flakes and pellets but variety is also necessary.
You can give them bloodworms and brine shrimps.
I don't recommend live bloodworm because they carry the risk of having parasites.
Mosquito larvae, chopped earthworms and guppy fry are also considered as favorites.
Be careful when feeding mosquito larvae, use tweezers to avoid any allergic reactions on your skin.
You can also make homemade Angelfish food by combining finely chopped raw beef heart with unflavored gelatin.
Make sure you wash the chopped beef heart under cold water to remove all blood (wrap it in cheese cloth).
Changing the water regularly for your exotic tropical fish will help in giving them a healthier environment.
The more Angelfish you have in the tank, the more frequently water needs to be changed.
You can use water conditioning chemicals or cichlid buffers to prep your water.
