It seems that most families have owned a cat at one time or another.

Those that are housebound, for whatever reason, will never be lonely with a cat to keep them company.
Just as with all living things, comes responsibility.
It is necessary to train your kitten and and provide it with the essentials of life such as food, water and love.
Boundaries must be set and adhered to.
Just like with kids and partners.
While cats will talk to you, they will never answer back or hurt you emotionally.
They will continue to return the love you give them in spades.
And cats are much much more fun than computer games.
