• Certain minimal invasive treatment methods, such as sclerotherapy, rubber band ligation and coagulation, are often recommended by doctors. In sclerotherapy, doctors inject a chemical solution into the hemorrhoid tissues of the patient through the blood stream. The chemical solution helps diminish the size of the hemorrhoid until it falls off.
  With rubber band ligation, doctors place two to three rubber bands around the internal hemorrhoid tissues to cut the blood supply, which leads to the hemorrhoid withering and falling off within three to four days.
