Commercial Juicing Machines
Today's juicer is much different from the cone shaped tool we all remember from childhood.
Modern juicing machines can tackle a lot more than just oranges.
From hard produce like raw ginger root and carrots, to soft fruits like grapes or peaches, there are juicers on the market that can handle the task.
Even produce that was once thought impossible to juice such as leafy greens pose no problem to today's juicers.
Not even wheatgrass! So what? This doesn't explain the reason why juicing is becoming more and more popular.
There are plenty of things out there that modern technology has made easier to do.
For instance, the Internet has made paying bills much easier these days.
You don't have to physically write out a check.
You don't have to hand deliver the payment to the utility company.
You don't even have to buy an envelope or a stamp to mail it.
Does any of this make paying bills enjoyable? Is giving someone else you hard earned money every month suddenly becoming more popular? The point is that just because something is made easier to accomplish, doesn't mean it's any more enjoyable than before.
So if it's not these ease of a modern juicer adding to the craze, it must be the resulting product of the juicer.
The juice.
I really don't know how big the juice industry is these days.
What I do know is that it's at least big enough to have a whole grocery store aisle dedicated to it.
With bottle after bottle, flavor after flavor, fruit juice, vegetable juice, and any combination of the two imaginable available to us, the choices are seemingly endless.
Just what are we getting from all of these abundant choices? Read the ingredient list on your next juice purchase.
Good luck pronouncing half of these ingredients.
Who knew high fructose corn syrup and apple juice from concentrate were such an integral part of juice recipes.
Not to mention all the artificial sweeteners, additives and preservatives.
Store bought juice is so processed and pasteurized that one has to wonder if there is any real nutritional value left in the juice.
Juicing gives you exactly what the word suggests.
Juice.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Juice that is more fresh than you could ever even hope to purchase in a grocery store, and it's completely unprocessed.
A juicer also provides us an easier way to consume raw produce.
Too often we end up cooking all of the nutritional value right out of our veggies.
The vast majority of us are not acquired to eating our vegetables raw, but this is the only way to take full advantage of the nutrition they have to offer.
Juicing also allows us to consume more produce in less amount of time.
It is much easier to drink three plates worth of vegetables than it is to actually sit down and eat three plates of veggies.
This means concentrated, fresh nutrition.
Our society has become more health conscious than ever before.
This is mostly due to the fact that we are more unhealthy than we've ever been before.
Juicing answers this growing concern.
Whether we juice to detoxify our bodies, give our immune systems a boost, or just because it tastes so good, juicers are here, and they're here to stay.
