Day 1. Hometown to Beijing
Fly to Beijing. All meals, beverages, and entertainment will be provided.
Day 2. Arrive in Beijing
Upon arriving at Beijing airport, a China Tour representative will greet you and arrange for your transportation to the hotel, allowing you the first chance to see and experience China.
Day 3. Beijing
Today you'll begin your China sightseeing tour. The first stop is Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing. Then head for the magnificent Forbidden City, which stood as the imperial palace for China from the Ming Dynasty until the end of the Qing Dynasty, a period of 500 years. After lunch, see the elegant Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site with the largest imperial garden in the world, a favorite retreat for many of the emperors during the Qing Dynasty. In the evening, you will enjoying an authentic Peking Duck Banquet and a live presentation of the "Legend of Kung Fu" which has wowed and amazed audiences worldwide.
Day 4. Beijing
Today you'll see and perhaps climb the Great Wall of China, one of the country's most famous tourist attractions and one of the greatest man-made wonders of the world. It runs about 5,500 miles through 150 different counties. You will then have a Seminar on Chinese Jade Culture at a local Jade Museum. Next you will visit the exquisite 15th century Temple of Heaven - to see the Imperial Ceiling of Heaven with its Echo Wall and the Nine-Dragon Cypress, more than 500 years old. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure to shop and explore at Wangfujing, one of the Chinese capital's most famous shopping streets.
Day 5. Beijing / Xian
Today fly to historic Xian, ancient capital of China and site of archaeological treasures. Tour the Ancient City Wall of Xian, one of the world's oldest, most complete fortified defenses.And your dinner will be the feast of the Imperial Dumpling Banquet, followed by a splendid Tang Dynasty Stage Show.
Day 6. Xian / Shanghai
According to UNESCO, the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the Eighth Wonder of the World. Today's excursion will take you to modern China's greatest archaeological discovery - The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, which silently guarded the tomb of China's First Emperor for over 2,200 years. Next you'll head to the Terracotta Replication Factory that actually re-made terracotta soldiers. Later fly to Shanghai, the largest city by population in China.
Day 7. Shanghai
Today's portion of the tour will take you into Shanghai, China's financial center. Take some time to explore the commercial aspects of Old Town, Nanjing Road, and the Lujiazui Financial Area before checking out the 120,000 art exhibits in the Shanghai Museum. Afternoon visit the Shanghai silk carpet factory where you can doing some shopping. Stroll around the Bund, the waterfront of Shanghai, and alongside the Huang-pu River. A special farewell dinner of Shanghai cuisine will be served after enjoying the world-famous Acrobatic Show.
Day 8. Shanghai / Guilin
Today's flight takes you to Guilin, set in the heart of a magnificent landscape, inspiration to the Chinese artists and poets for centuries.
Day 9. Guilin - Yangshuo
A leisurely four-hour cruise down the Lijiang River from Guilin to Yangshuo begins the day. Enjoy the picturesque landscape, surrounded by the hills and bamboo that have inspired many artists over the centuries. This afternoon to explore on your own by either renting a bike or taking a walk around Yangshuo's West Street, a 1,400-year-old street paved with marble. In the evening, enjoy a wonderful light show, "Impression of Sister Liu" (Liusanjie), directed by the famous director Zhang Yimou and performed by local villagers and fishermen.
Day 10. Yangshuo - Guilin / Hong Kong
Drive back to Guilin, visit a Organic-Tea Research Institute (or the South-sea saltwater pearl Center). Tea is the national drink in China and serves as an important part of Chinese history and culture. Later you will take a flight to Hong Kong. Upon your arrival, you'll see why it is called the "City of Life" once you experience its vibrancy and excitement.
Day 11. Hong Kong
Today explore the island with an optional tram ride to Victoria Peak. After that spectacular view of Hong Kong and its harbor, you'll stop next at the Aberdeen Fishing Village, haven for fishing fleets and floating restaurants. Additionally, you may have the chance to ride in a flat-bottomed, wooden boat called a Sampan.
Day 12. Hong Kong
Free day at leisure or take an optional tour to Macau.
Day 13. Hong Kong / Fly Home
You'll head to the airport and catch your flight home.
