How to Troubleshoot the Cuisinart DCC-1500
- 1). Connect the Cuisinart coffee maker into a working power outlet if nothing on the machine will operate. Replace or reset the circuit breaker or fuse as needed.
- 2). Fill the water tank to the desired fill mark and pour enough coffee beans in the grinder before pressing "On" if there is power to the machine but coffee is not brewing.
- 3). Replace the carafe back on the drip tray before 20 seconds have elapsed to prevent overflowing if the coffee is still brewing and the carafe is removed to pour a cup.
- 4). Avoid exceeding 14 tbsp. of ground coffee in the filter if there is leaking or overflow. Fill the water tank only to the fill mark.
- 5). Select the self-clean function if the coffee maker is not brewing properly or the coffee does not taste as expected and the proper amounts of coffee and water were used. Pour a mixture of 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water into the reservoir and press "Clean" to descale the unit. Turn the coffee maker back on when the clean cycle is finished and pour water into the water tank. Brew the water as normal without coffee grounds or beans.
- 6). Contact Cuisinart for additional assistance as needed.
