Hiring a virtual assistant (VA) has now become the solution not only to overcome financial crisis, but are also a relief for overwhelmed business people.
More and more people have decided to switch to virtual help due to the many benefits.
However, it could be really frustrating if you don't hire the appropriate virtual assistant and end up with somebody that does not meet your expectations.

Since your VA works remotely, most of the communication between you and your assistant will be via email or instant messaging, computer literacy is definitely a must.

Administrative tasks are just one type among a large variety of tasks that you can delegate.
So if, for example, you have decided to hire a helper to be in charge of graphic design for your business, make sure that the person that you hire has studies and/or experience in that type of work.
Ask for it! And evaluate what you want: online marketing, writing, customer service, database integration, research, etc.
