How Do You Empower Your Child?

How do we empower our children? How do help them through the tough times in life and how do we make sure the negative 'stuff' doesn't follow them into adulthood? When I mention negative stuff I mean all of it, not just the 'really bad stuff e.
g.
; we all know trauma's (as in a car accident) or abuse is negative stuff but what about Aunt Harriet when she called you chubby, or when you got teased in school because of your frizzy hair, or the bully in grade 2 who bumped you in the hall and embarrassed you in front of everyone, your first class speech that you bombed etc.
You get the picture now...
These are the things that shape the way we live; this negativity sticks to our core like a magnet and stays there.
We think we've 'gotten over it' or 'dealt with it' yet when the event arises in our mind or when it's triggered by something (you may not even know what the trigger is) it opens the flood gates to negative emotional responses such as anxiety, anger, uneasiness feeling, depression etc.
You may not even know why you are feeling so "off", but your body knows, your energy knows and your sub-conscious mind knows.
So how do we get rid of this negativity that's stuck to our core? Well, if we go back to Einstein's theory that everything is made of energy including us and we add in ancient Chinese medicine techniques that involve energy (think acupuncture) then we can conclude that all the negative stuff is attached to our energy core; agreed? Our energy core is made up of meridians with hundreds of points along them and it has been discovered that by clearing these meridians that are blocked, we get rid of the negative stuff that is stuck there, energy flows better and an individual feels a general sense of peace and well being.
What I am saying is YES you can get rid of the negative stuff with a fast, fun, easy to learn technique! This technique is so easy a child can learn and both you and your child can do it together.
Imagine teaching this tool to a child; they get to grow up without any limiting beliefs or emotional baggage! They grow up knowing they have some control over their fears, anxiety, anger and emotional angst.
I cannot stress the importance of children having a readily available tool literally at their fingertips.
As a family counsellor I know how empowering it is for a child (let alone an adult) to know they are in control of their feelings and emotions!
