Bad breath is a major challenge for a lot of people.
But the fact is that most bad breath is caused by what you eat.
You food effects your teeth and gums.
This is where bacteria form your food build up with the results of bad breath.
Another way food does this is in the digestive system.
The first way is the most common.
Many times food may stay in the mouth and begin to decay.
This gives rise to all sort of bacteria, that in turn breaks down the substances.
This leads to some proteins becoming a form of sulfur.
Sulfur does not mix well with the air in your mouth and result is a awful odor.
One of the foods that does this the most is dairy produces.
They are made up of proteins the easily convert to sulfur.
The process is simple the lactose proteins in the milk are worked on by the bacteria.
They break into amino acids which then nicely covert into a aroma of sulfur.
Food with strong smells also are a leading cause of fowl breathe.
Things like onions and garlic are well known to produce odors.
What happens is the the digestive system break these down the send them though the bloodstream.
When these compounds hit the lung the smell come out.
The basic idea is that the smell mixes with all the air you are moving in and out of your lungs as the air moves you move the odor up and out.
The challenge here is a longer term project.
If it is just in your mouth the solution of a quick brushing and you are good.
When the problem is from food in the digestive track it takes a time to wash it out.
Diet in this area is a challenge.
A diet too high is protein or fat can cause bad breathe.
Carbs are needed to balance.
The body make use of whatever is available to make energy when few carbs are present it uses fat and protein.
The result of this break down is into chemical substance named ketones.
This substance is released in your breath and do nothing to improve it.
If you suffer from bad breath you should use a tooth brush early and often.
And try to not eat those foods that give you long term trouble.
Cut the garlic and give your neighbor a break.
