How to Connect the HDPE Pipe to a Steel Pipe

1). Obtain the required HDPE connector piece that matches the pipe threads of the steel pipe. These are available at hardware stores and plumbing shops.
2). Coat the threads of the steel pipe with pipe dope, or wrap them with teflon tape.
3). Hand-screw on the HDPE pipe connector until it is hand tight.
4). Attach a pipe wrench onto the steel side of the pipe and hold it firmly in your hand. Attach a pipe wrench onto the HDPE connector and carefully turn it onto the steel pipe threads. Keep a solid grip on the pipe wrench attached to the steel side, and do not allow it to turn. Screw on the HDPE connector until it is firm.
