  Turning 16 marks a milestone for teenagers in their lives. Once they reach their "Sweet 16" birthday, they have left their childhood behind and begun to make the steps toward adulthood. To celebrate this day, the teen's friends and family can throw a special "Sweet 16" party.   Host a Vegas night for a Sweet 16 birthday party. Set out several tables with casino games such as dice, poker and blackjack. Players can turn in their chips at the end of the night for party favors or the players can play for candy or potato chips so that the under-aged teenagers do not gamble with real money. Hire professional dealers for the birthday party, or recruit older relatives to both chaperone the event and to oversee the table games.
  
  

Music Star Night

  For the budding musician, have an interactive music night. Rent a karaoke machine. Guests sing along with the songs following the words on the karaoke machine. You can host your own competition where other guests vote on who sings the best with the karaoke player. Alternatively, look for a rock band or dancing game for your gaming platform. Using a gaming system band program, the players use specialty controllers in the shape of guitars, pianos, drums and a microphone to sing and play along with the song on the screen. These games closely resemble the karaoke machine but with the addition of instruments with the vocals. A dancing game has the player plug a dance pad into a video gaming system and move his feet along with the game on the television screen. These interactive video games require the purchase of the video gaming system, the game and the controllers. If you do not already own these, you could give the entire package as a Sweet 16 birthday present after the party.
