- A personal story from our farm ~ Tara Lynn is our 8 year old farm dog.
She is a beautiful black and white Border Collie.
After her last litter of puppies, she developed an ugly black growth on one of her nipples.
We watched it for about a year as it slowly grew to about the size of walnut.
I took pictures of it and sent the photo to a couple of Veterinarian friends of mine.
Both of them suggested that I take her in to our local Vet and that it looked to them like Melanoma! Well, being the ex-Veterinary Technician that I am...
I decided to try something before I did that.
I shaved and cleaned all around the mass and then tied it off with dental floss to cut off the flow of blood to it.
I then started soaking it in diluted 35% H2O2 a couple of times a day.
We also started giving her Ambrotose (glyconutrients) twice a day.
Results: Day 3 ~ the growth decreased in size by 1/2! It also started to bleed some.
Day 5 ~ the growth fell off completely! The nipple was 3X normal size and a bit reddish.
Day 6 ~ the nipple decreased in size to 2X normal size and the redness was gone.
2 Weeks Later ~ nipple is slightly larger than her other nipples and appears totally normal!! I have uploaded photos on our Facebook group below.
