    • 1). Open Terminal.

    • 2). Type "sudo cd /" followed by the directory in which the file is located. Press "Enter."

    • 3). Enter your password and press "Enter."

    • 4). Type "sudo rm <filename>," replacing "<filename>" with the actual file name. Press "Enter." Ubuntu erases the file.
