NAET Allergy Elimination - Is it Right For You?

103 40
In the mid 1980s, Dr.
Devi Nambudripad discovered that allergies could be permanently eliminated using acupuncture or acupressure.
With this knowledge, she developed a treatment protocol known as Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique or NAET.
Allergy elimination has grown increasingly popular, with more than 4,000 NAET certified practitioners worldwide and millions of patients who have received permanent relief from their allergies.
The effectiveness of this method has been proven in clinical trials, including studies funded by the National Institutes of Health in the United States.
In spite of its excellent track record, however, some online forums and blogs have contributions from a scattering of patients who say that NAET allergy elimination didn't work for them.
Others say it worked wonderfully, and they are thrilled with the results.
The reviews and testimonials differ greatly.
So how can you know if it will work for you?   In order to answer that question, let's take a look at the fundamentals of energy-based allergy elimination.
Energy flows through the body in a series of pathways known as meridians.
Critics and skeptics contend that the energy meridians are simply theoretical.
However, that position was disproved when the research team of Dr.
Claude Darras and Dr.
Pierre De Vernejoul were able to map the course of these energy pathways with radioactive tracers in the 1980s.
It is this energy, or chi, that is controlled and directed through the practice of yoga, tai chi, qi gong, reiki, meditation, acupuncture and acupressure.
Proper flow of chi is a necessary component for vibrant health.
When we encounter something that the subconscious mind perceives as a threat, the flow of energy is interrupted in an attempt to prevent that substance, seen as harmful, from entering further into the body.
This interruption of energy flow can create backups of energy in certain places, and insufficient energy in others.
Think of the meridians as rivers.
If you build a dam on the river, the water backs up.
You create a flood upstream of the dam, and the riverbed dries out downstream.
When this happens in the body, the results are unpleasant.
Sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose, and tickling throat...
these are the symptoms commonly associated with allergies.
However, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Many people suffer from life threatening allergies that could result in anaphylactic shock.
All autoimmune conditions are allergy-related, with the immune system reacting against various parts of the body.
From arthritis to "zits," virtually any illness or health condition can have an allergy link.
NAET allergy elimination is just one of the energy-based choices available.
You have Bioset, which combines enzyme therapy with acupressure to eliminate allergies.
You also have the Allergy Zapper Method, which is a do-it-yourself guide to acupressure-based allergy elimination.
There are several other protocols involving different methods, such as stimulating acupressure points with cold lasers.
So, with all the choices available, how can you know if NAET is right for you?     NAET allergy elimination is the only energy-based method that has insurance codes.
If your insurance covers acupuncture, you may have coverage for NAET treatments from a licensed acupuncturist.
This is certainly a consideration for some people.
NAET allergy elimination tends to work very well for patients with a low to moderate number of allergies.
For those with a larger number of allergies or anyone suffering from serious health conditions, satisfaction is less certain.
NAET treats one allergy at a time, so it can require a huge investment of time and money.
Patients with serious illnesses or health concerns may come to an NAET practitioner with high hopes, only to give up months later when they have invested a great deal and received limited results.
Some patients, especially those with autoimmune conditions or multiple sensitivities, may require treatments several times a week for a year or more before achieving a good level of relief.
Many people will run out of financial resources, and/or find that they simply don't have the time to continue with treatments that drag on and on.
However, many patients with numerous allergies are happy with their results, so it's important to read patient testimonials and weigh your decision carefully.
Positive results are achievable with NAET, but may require a long-term commitment in terms of time and finances.
