- 1). Place the old energy bulb in a plastic bag, and seal the bag before keeping in a cool, dry place.
- 2). Visit the Lamp Recycle website to locate your local recycling center.
- 3). Click the green "click here" icon on the site to be re-directed to the Earth911 site. Enter "light bulbs" in "find recycling centers for" and enter your zip code, address, city or state in "near."
- 4). Click "Search" to display a list of nearby recycling centers. Drop off the plastic bag of old bulbs to the local center.
