- 1). Click the "Start" button located on the bottom left of the task bar of your computer.
- 2). Scroll to "Control Panel" and click on it. If you cannot locate the Control Panel for any reason, type "Control Panel" in the search window below the "All Programs" button.
- 3). Once the Control Panel window opens up displaying various control menus or features, click on the "Uninstall a Program" link under Programs.
- 4). Scroll down to "McAfee Antivirus" from the list of programs that opens up and click on it. Click on the pop-out which says "Uninstall/Change." Click on it and, depending on the version of McAfee Antivirus that you have installed on your computer, different operations such as Modify, Remove or Repair are displayed.
- 5). Click "Remove" and then "OK." Removing the McAfee Antivirus program will take a few minutes relative to the processing power of your computer.
