The Many Different Styles of Kids Pajamas

When it comes to kids pajamas, there are many options to choose from.
Styles for kids' pajamas have changed tremendously over the years.
Today, kids' styles of pajamas can be classified in three different areas, which has a direct impact on the consumers needs.
Let's look at comfort, gender and the seasons of the year, so that a comparison can be made as to how these factors contribute to the different styles of kids pajamas.
A child's comfort is one of the most important factors in selecting pajamas.
When a decision is based solely on comfort, parents tend to opt for the very basic, breathable cotton material.
These pajamas usually come in solid colors or may contain stripes or polka dots.
Depending on the weather, these pajamas may come in as sets of shorts and T-shirts, long sleeve shirts and pants, or even an oversized T-shirt or sweat-shirt for maximum comfort.
Gender plays a major role when it comes to style.
Unfortunately, boys don't have as many options to choose from as do the girls when it comes to sleepwear.
For a boy, pajamas usually come in tops and bottoms.
For the tops, they can opt to go sleeveless, a short sleeve T-shirt or a long sleeve T-shirt.
Bottoms are relatively simple, such as shorts or pants.
Other options include the fabric of the material, the colors or patterns of the pajamas, and whether or not a matching robe is available.
Girls' pajamas, on the other hand, are a different story.
Not only do they have the same options as the boys do, but they also have tank tops, camisoles and nightgowns, as well as accessories such as ribbons and ruffles.
One of the biggest differences in girl/boy pajamas are the designs.
For the most part, boys' pajamas are covered with cartoon characters of superheroes or cars and trucks.
Not much emphasis is placed on the structure of their design.
As they get older, the pajamas evolve to resemble that of which a male adult would wear.
For the girls, Disney princesses and characters are common themes in pajamas.
They are also made to look soft and cute, keeping the girl's youth and innocence in mind.
Another area to look at is the time of the year, especially around the holidays.
Here, pajamas take a life of their own.
As if consumers before did not have enough to choose from, now comes the colors and themes of Christmas.
Boys look festive in their Santa pajamas, while the girls are cute and cozy in their red nightgowns.
Again, these are many options as to the different styles of pajamas available to kids.
Each parent makes the decision on what is important when it comes to sleepwear and their own child.
One little girl may find a ruffled nightgown comfortable, whereas another may find it impossible to sleep in, and opts for sweatpants and a T-shirt.
Fortunately, the many styles and designs allow parents to find exactly what is appropriate for their child.
