Fashion in The 80"s With a Jewelry Organizer
These innovative designs caught the attention of millions and ruled over their hearts.
These years also saw a rapid change in the fashion world due to the launch of MTV which brought a massive revolution in the field of fashion, music industry and whatever it relates to.
In these years people have tried to redefine and have adapted to abrupt changes among both the men and women.
In the decade of 70's the dress code that people had was about wearing a tight upper with a loose lower.
This got completely reversed in the decade of 80's where women used to wear bold dresses having shoulder pads and men wore shirts in full sleeves that were stitched in expensive material along with loose fitting baggy trousers that were slightly tapered at the ankle.
Now, this designer clothing gave a romantic outlook and gave birth to a romantic movement, which in turn was inspired by punks from the former era.
The hot and trendy outfits of leather and designer jeans also emerged later and became a part of fashion.
Women had adapted wearing high heel pointed shoes as business wear & jelly shoes that were transparent and came in glossy colours as party wear.
The popular leisure wear clothing of this era was jog pants and track suits.
The music bands of this era also came up with their own style statement of faded jeans that were acid washed and denim jackets and also tattoos & piercings were new highlights of their fashion trend.
It was considered trendy for men who wore earrings.
The hair looked shiny with volume for which mousse was used quite a lot in those days.
The teenagers had a fancy for crimped hair with streaks of contrasting colour.
The whole trend of hair was reversed as men had long hair whereas women had short hair.
The precious gems studded jewellery was considered a symbol of status.
It depicted power and wealth.
Women wore peculiar long earrings which often were not matching and sometimes they would wear only one earring.
The trend in jewellery was to wear chains of gold & silver in punk style and neon colours.
The old jewellery was decorated with modern shapes and enamel.
In the 80's came the digital watches having wristbands in metal which later changed to dial watches for adults and plastic watches in vibrant colours for teenagers.
These watches were built with roman numerals.
The status defining design was Movado at that time which featured a sleek watch with a dot at 12.
Sometimes people also wore multiple watches on one wrist along with hoop earrings and gold bracelets.
Further, the trend included leather designer bags, clutch bags for their compactness & appeal and briefcases.
Women had a custom to match their shoes with their bags.
Shawls in different variety & colours were worn on different occasions like in daytime with tank tops and at night with gowns.
Designer lingerie for women also formed a part of the trend especially the ones with laces and coloured boxer shorts for men.
In the mid of 80's small eye glasses in metal frames caught the trend.
The day to day life in that decade was highly impacted by fashion.
