- 1). Locate the McAfee icon in the system tray. This is the area where the clock is located, in the lower right corner of the screen. Click on the double arrows to expand the system tray if the red "M" icon is not immediately visible.
- 2). Right-click on the McAfee icon and choose "Updates."
- 3). Click the "Check Now" button in the Security Center Updates window.
- 4). Wait for the McAfee auto scan tool to check for updates for the programs currently installed.
- 5). Press the "Update" button if it appears. If no new updates are available, a dialogue window will appear notifying the user that all McAfee products are up to date.
