How to Sell Off Everything Very Cheaply to Pay Bills

    • 1). Hold a yard sale. Even if it's the middle of the winter and you have to hold it inside. Many bargain-seekers will come to an indoor yard sale. If you are really trying to get rid of everything, then let customers know you will consider all offers as they come through the door. Put away anything you are not selling, or set up one room full of the things you wish to sell.

    • 2). Put your items up for sale on a local classified ad website. List as many items as you can in various categories. Make sure that you are available to take phone calls and answer emails. Be home when people want to come by and take a look at your stuff.

    • 3). Take your items to a pawn shop. Many communities have pawn shops where you can sell or borrow money against items you own. This will get you cash quickly, but the pawn shop will give you money only for your higher-value items, not things like your frying pans.

    • 4). Offer your items to a consignment shop for sale. Many consignment shops will take lower-end items like clothing or kitchen products, but you won't get paid until they sell. If you need money immediately, a consignment shop won't work for you, but if you can wait a little bit this is a good option.

    • 5). Rent a table at a flea market. Head to your nearest flea market -- many places hold them year round -- and rent a table. Sell your items directly to the customer.
