How to Remove Coffee Stains From Porcelain
- 1). Pour distilled white vinegar into a clean, empty spray bottle. Spray down the stained porcelain sink with the vinegar.
- 2). Let the vinegar soak on the stain for about 15 minutes. Scrub the area with a soft scrub brush.
- 3). Rinse the sink with a rag and plain water. Go over the area with a dry rag.
- 4). Mix up an oxygen bleach solution into a bucket for tougher coffee stains. Mixing instructions for oxygen bleach may vary depending on the amount of sodium percarbonate in the product. In general, mix together 2 oz. oxygen bleach per ½ gallon of hot water.
- 5). Saturate a rag in the oxygen bleach mixture. Lay the rag on top of the coffee stain. Let the rag sit on the sink for 15 minutes.
- 6). Remove the rag and scrub the sink with a non-abrasive sponge. Wipe down the sink with a rag and plain water. Dry thoroughly with a clean towel. Repeat the oxygen bleach application, if necessary, until the coffee stain is gone.
- 1). Fill the kitchen sink with 1 qt. warm water. Add 2 tbsp. chlorine bleach to the water.
- 2). Place the coffee-stained kitchenware into the water. Make sure the water completely covers the coffee stain.
- 3). Let the kitchenware sit in the water for about 2 minutes. Use a non-abrasive sponge, if necessary, to scrub the stain from the dishes.
- 4). Rinse the kitchenware thoroughly with plain water. Dry with a soft rag.
- 5). Use baking soda and water if the coffee stain remains. Dampen a rag with water. Sprinkle a moderate amount of baking soda onto a small portion of the rag.
- 6). Scrub the stained kitchenware with the rag and baking soda. Continue scrubbing, adding more baking soda as needed, until the stain is gone. Rinse and dry the kitchenware thoroughly.
