    • 1). Clean the area around the chip in your stove with warm water and soap.

    • 2). Dry your stovetop completely with paper towels.

    • 3). Apply two to three thin coats of appliance touch-up paint to the chip, allowing the paint to dry between applications. The Family Handyman magazine online recommends waiting 24 hours.

    • 4). Sand your newly touched-up spot lightly if needed. Apply minimal pressure, as you can scratch the surrounding good ceramic.
