Are Quit Smoking Products Necessary to Quit Smoking?
There are a whole host of quit smoking products out there to help smokers quit these days.
The question is this: do you really need them in order to help you quit? Or are they just getting in the way and actually keeping you hooked on an expensive product that costs just as much as the cigarettes? If you can use a quit smoking aid in order to stop, then do it.
But if you have tried these various products in the past and they have all failed for you, then it is time to try a new approach.
The truth is that you do not need an aid to help you quit smoking.
No matter how much you love smoking or how addicted you are, you do not need a product to help you to quit.
You see, the big fallacy that most smokers do not understand is that quitting is actually pretty straightforward once you really want to do it.
If you have the genuine desire to quit, then cold turkey will work just fine for you.
Seriously.
But the problem is that no one really wants to quit.
And so we try to buy products or pills or patches that we hope will make us have this genuine desire to quit.
But it does not work, and we go back to smoking, because deep down, we did not really want to stop smoking.
Cultivate the desire to be free from nicotine, and then come up with a plan or a strategy to quit smoking.
Not the other way around.
If you try to use a product in order to give yourself the desire to quit, then you are headed for certain relapse.
