- 1). Select the volume button from the BlackBerry home screen to view the list of sound profiles. Scroll to the bottom of the list and select "Edit Profiles." Select "Normal" as it is the first profile on the list.
- 2). Select "Messages" to expand a list of all messages receivable on the Curve. Select "Email" as it appears first on the list of messages.
- 3). Select "Volume" and choose "Silent" from the drop-down list. Select "LED" and choose "Off" from the drop-down list. Click the BlackBerry logo key and select "Save."
- 4). Select each of the message types listed in the Normal sound profile, and set the Volume to "Silent" and LED to "Off," then save your changes.
- 5). Repeat this process for each of the sound profiles on the phone to ensure that notifications are off no matter which profile you choose.
