Pitch Perfect 2 – Information for Families
With a rather vague plot synopsis, we can only tell that the film will be a continuation of the trials and tribulations of the Barden Bellas but on a more international scale. After begin suspended from the school after an embarrassing performance at the President’s Birthday Celebration, the only way the team can regain its status is to win an international competition that no American team has ever won before.
Since the start of the television show Glee six years ago, movies about singing groups have found a greater audience. The trailer is suggestive and as with Pitch Perfect, audience members should expect a lot of sexual innuendos and suggestive movements.  Combined with the suggestive material, drug use, drinking, and mild violence are also possible. Fans of Into the Woods may enjoy the music but should be prepare for more adult themes. Tweens and teens who enjoy musical films, may also like Step It Up and Hairspray.
