How to Hang a Shower Curtain So Water Doesn't Escape

    • 1). Attach your hooks to the shower curtain and liner using the holes provided at the top. If they are the type that snap closed don't close them just yet.

    • 2). Hang your tension rod above the edge of the shower wall. Be sure it is hung evenly. You should also hang it higher than the shower head, so water can't escape from the top of the curtain.

    • 3). Attach the shower curtain to the rod and if you've purchased hooks that close make sure they are closed. The standard length for shower curtains is 72 inches, so they hang all the way to the floor of the tub.

    • 4). Teach every one in your household to arrange the shower curtain properly to avoid water leakage. The liner belongs on the inside of the tub. Be sure it is drawn tightly to the sides of the tub. If you've purchased a liner with suction cups adhere them to the tile walls of the shower. The decorative outside shower curtain remains on the outside. This will prevent water from transferring and dripping to the floor. If you've purchased a cloth curtain it will also keep it from getting mildewed
