- 1). Navigate your Internet browser to Air Charter search engines and websites to find the suitable Antonov Aircraft you wish to charter (see Resources). Browse the air charter websites, as they contain comprehensive lists of available air charter services that use Antonov Aircraft. Alternately, call air charter services in your home city and ask for a recommendation for charter services. Most charter services maintain databases for other services with specific aircraft.
- 2). Select the Antonov aircraft you wish to charter. There are almost 30 different Antonov aircraft for charter services. Select the number of passengers, hourly charter costs, or historic and sentimental values. Take the location of the aircraft into consideration. For example, if you wish to fly from Frankfurt to Moscow, look for Antonov aircraft located in Germany or near Frankfurt to save costs as many charter services charge hourly rates to bring the aircraft to your destination city. The air charter sites typically include this information.
- 3). Call the air charter service and give them the dates of travel, number of people in your party, destination city and if requested, the nationality of all passengers. Pay for the air charter. Most charter services expect payment prior to the trip. Print out all receipts and bills of sale if remitted via the Internet.
- 4). Acquire all necessary passports or visas for the trip. Contact consulates or embassies to secure the needed travel documents. Bring these with you for the charter. Many charters won't depart the airport unless you provide them proof of legal travel documents. In addition, many charter services won't refund if you fail to have the necessary legal documents. Be prepared.
