Smile Giggle Laugh.
Always look on the bright side of life...so the song goes, easier said than done. Yet some people seem to manage to be much happier than others. What makes them so different? How do they cope with life better than most? Sometimes it is all to do with attitude. People who always moan and complain, people who are always angry and aggressive and people who shout and stomp about, those people are usually unhappy most of the time. Yes, there are times when we are angry and upset; but it's how you deal with the anger that makes the difference.
Be an optimist. Think of your glass half full not half empty. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. There are many quotes telling us things will get better; but we have to make them better. They won't change by themselves. So, think positive, take action and make things happen.
Look around you. Even in cities there are wonders of nature; birds, flowers, trees, animals, water trickling in streams and clouds in the sky. Take the time to stop and appreciate the miracles of nature. Look up at the stars and be amazed at the vastness of the universe. Listen to the birds sing, even if it is a pigeon at the railway station.
Many of us are envious of what others have. We want more money; we want a better house; we want a bigger car; we want to be famous. We've got to be realistic. We might never have that dream holiday or be a football star. But, it's true, money can't buy you health or happiness. Be content. Enjoy what you have and look forward to every new day.
Most importantly smile. If you smile at someone you will usually find that they smile back. So that's at least two happy people. Happiness is contagious. A smile is also an inexpensive way to improve your looks. Go on; make a difference; be happy.
