- 1). Open an Internet browser. Navigate to the Malwarebytes website and download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Note the download folder so that you can easily locate it.
- 2). Launch "My Computer". Navigate to the download folder and launch the installer.
- 3). Follow the on-screen directions to install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Note the program folder.
- 4). Navigate to the program folder. Launch Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
- 5). Follow the on-screen directions to update the software. Malwarebytes regularly updates their software to combat the latest malware threats.
- 6). Follow the on-screen directions to run a system scan. Allow the scan to complete. The scan takes several minutes depending on the size and number of storage drives.
- 7). Follow the on-screen directions to remove Secure Antivirus Pro and other detected malware. Close Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
- 1). Open an Internet browser. Navigate to the Bleeping Computer website and download SmitFraudFix. Note the download folder.
- 2). Restart the computer. Press the "F8" button when the Windows Splash Screen appears.
- 3). Choose "Safe Mode With Networking" from the menu that appears. Allow Windows to load into safe mode.
- 4). Open My Computer. Navigate to the download folder and launch SmitFraudFix.
- 5). Follow the on-screen directions to run a system scan. The scan takes several minutes and should not be interrupted. Interrupting the scan may cause damage to system files.
- 1). Open Internet Explorer. Navigate to the Windows Live OneCare Security Scanner website.
- 2). Press the "Full System Scan" button. Follow the on-screen directions to install needed files for the scan.
- 3). Follow the on-screen directions to conduct the system scan. Microsoft servers scan your storage drives from the Internet to detect Secure Antivirus Pro and other malware.
- 4). Follow the on-screen directions to remove Secure Antivirus Pro and other detected malware. Close Internet Explorer.
