How to Clean Bathroom Mildew
- 1). Mix together 1 part water and 1 part household bleach in a plastic spray bottle. Bleach will kill mildew and mold instantly.
- 2). Spray your shower and bathtub with the bleach solution and leave it to sit for five minutes.
- 3). Wipe the shower and bathtub down with a damp sponge.
- 4). Soak cotton balls with the bleach mixture and place them in the corners of the shower and bath. Leave them there for one hour.
- 5). Remove the cotton balls and discard them. Wipe down the area with a damp sponge.
- 1). Place 1 Tbsp of liquid dish detergent in a bucket. Add a gallon of hot water to the bucket. Use a wooden spoon to stir the mixture.
- 2). Moisten a sponge in the dish detergent mixture. You want the sponge moist, not drenched. Excess moisture applied to the walls can encourage more mildew growth.
- 3). Rub the mildewed parts of the wall with the damp sponge. Rinse the sponge in the dish detergent mixture when it becomes visibly soiled. Wring it out each time.
- 4). Dry off the wall using a dry rag to remove as much moisture as possible.
