Having grown up in Maple Grove MN, a small suburb just west of the Twin Cities, I recall traveling all the way to the big city of Minneapolis to see the family dentist. In the past 20 years or so that small town of Maple Grove has grown to the point where people travel from Rogers, Plymouth, Corcoran, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center and other west metro cities to shop and find service providers. I was amazed when I looked at all of the choices for dentists.
There are dental clinics with multiple dentists and staff and there are small solo practitioners. It is by not hard at all to find a good dentist, but it helps to know exactly what type of clinic you are looking for. If you have small children that may shrink from dental tools, you may want to choose a dental clinic that specializes in pediatric dentistry. If you are planning on living in Maple Grove for much of your children's childhood, the selection of a dentist that is likely to stay in Maple Grove for a while is fairly important. I know my kids do like to see the same dentist each time as it helps them get over the “fear” element of seeing a dentist.
As someone who had a whole bunch of teeth knocked out when he was young, and then again when I was in college, and then again when I was in the Marines, I can tell you that finding a dentist that advertises “pain free” dentistry is something that leaps out to me, even though I know all dentists strive for this goal. The method the dentist uses to eliminate pain didn't always work for me and because of that, it HAS worked for my kids! I think I felt every probe and scrape in the dental chair when I was younger. In today’s dental offices, pain free dentistry is to be expected. Expect it and choose your dentist wisely. I think if one of my kids had a similar accident, I would be looking for sedation dentistry for them, but I would defer to the wisdom of my chosen professional.

You can find what you are looking for throughout the city and even in neighboring Plymouth MN.
