How to Remove Security Ink From Clothing
- 1). Blot the stain immediately with a clean, white cloth. Press down on the fabric firmly to lift up as much of the stain as possible. When the cloth becomes stained, fold it to reveal a clean surface and blot the stain again.
- 2). Place a few drops of isopropyl alcohol on the stain with an eye dropper and blot. Repeat the process with a few drops of acetone.
- 3). Rinse the garment and pour 1/8 cup of heavy-duty liquid detergent on the stain. Soak the garment in a sink or bucket filled with hot water for 30 minutes to one hour. Add 1/8 cup of color-safe bleach to the water.
- 4). Soak white garments in chlorine bleach following the same process outlined in step 3. Soak garments in chlorine bleach for 15 minutes only.
- 5). Rinse the stained garment and wash in a regular wash cycle, using hot water. If the stain remains, repeat the process.
