    Engine

    • The LSC shares a 32-valve, 4.6-liter V8 engine with other 1998 Mark VIII models. Power specifications are 290 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and 290 lb.-ft. torque at 4,500 rpm. The motor has a 90.2-by-90 mm bore and stroke and a 9.9:1 compression ratio, with gas mileage rated at 15 mpg city, 24 mpg highway.

    Drivetrain

    • A four-speed automatic transmission puts power to the road. The Mark VIII LSC uses a front-engine, rear-wheel drive configuration with ABS brakes with a traction-control system on all wheels. A sophisticated auto-leveling air-suspension system provides a smooth and compliant ride while retaining sporty driving characteristics.

    Interior and Exterior

    • With leather all around and seating for five, the LSC cabin is even more luxurious than base 1998 Mark VIII models. Standard features include an eight- speaker JBL audio system, an illuminated entry and exit system, and remote-controlled immobilizer. The Lincoln is a large vehicle at 207.2 inches long and 74.8 inches wide, still managing to pull an impressive 0.81 g at the skidpad, which is a measure of the car's grip to the road.
