Rent a Car Or Use Public Transport on Holiday?

Its holiday time but that does not mean it is always relaxing.
There is actually a lot to think about before you go away and how you get from place to place is usually one of them.
There are places you will need to get to such as supermarkets, restaurants, beaches and perhaps some sight-seeing and once abroad this may mean they are miles apart from each other.
The two optional solutions of course to this problem would either be to rent a car or get to know the public transport around the area.
First of all you need to ask yourself how comfortable you feel driving in a foreign country where the rules are probably different and you most probably will end up driving on the other-side of the road in a car you have never driven in before.
If the answer is 'No way!' then I think we have found your answer and you need to investigate the public transport.
If however you are contemplating the thought of renting a car then try and see if you can investigate some companies before going so you know where to go and have a rough idea of what to expect from them.
Hiring cars abroad obviously depends on where you are going and how long you want the car for and the company you book with.
However the benefits of renting a car are the freedom to go where you like, when you like.
The obvious benefit of using public transport anywhere is firstly reducing your carbon footprints! But on a more practical basis public transport means you do not have to battle with the roads directly or parking the car.
