Orlando, Florida - One Major Thing You Need to Know For a Sun Kissed Glow!
I can not tell you how many times I've seen people with red faces and looking like a lobster after hanging out in the sun.
A common mistake that allows this to happen is that people don't reapply.
If you have fair skin, like me, you should buy the best sun screen you can find because you're going to need it! I understand wanting a nice healthy glow after a vacation in Orlando, Florida.
I mean people expect it! But I must warn you that if your skin matches that of a white sheet you might want to consider easing your way in.
Start by using a tanning lotion with sun block in it, at least SPF 15.
If you're going to lay out do so for about 20-30 minutes then flip to toast side two.
Then either get out of the sun or slather on the highest SPF you can find.
If you plan on hanging out at the pool all day, or even for just a few hours, you have to reapply after swimming or sweating.
I would recommend once an hour if you're directly in the sun.
If you feel yourself burning (that part of your body starts to literary get HOT) definitely cover up or reapply because that is the warning sign you're about to feel the burn in the morning.
If you're planning on hanging out in the parks all day make sure you bring your sun screen along.
You will need it! Most of the shows and rides at Sea World Orlando, Disney World and Universal Studios are outside.
Plus some of the rides are water rides so your sun screen will wash off.
Plus most of the other adventures you'll have while you're in Orlando, Florida will also be primarily outside.
And even though it looks cloudy outside you still need to wear sun protection.
You can still get burnt even if it's overcast.
If you can, make sure to cover areas prone to getting burnt.
Shoulders, face and back.
The most powerful hours of sun exposure are between the hours of 12pm and 4pm.
These are the times you'll want to cover up or reapply.
I know I sound like a broken record but I know.
I grew up in Florida and I've had my fair share of BAD sunburns.
I'm trying to save you pain and embarrassment.
Remember when you return home from Orlando, Florida you want your friends to be jealous.
The sun in Orlando, Florida is not for the novice.
It's powerful! Follow the instructions above and you'll go home sun kissed not sun kicked.
