How to Make a Clown Tie
- 1). Measure a piece of ribbon 12 inches long. Cut another piece the same length. Take one piece and fold the ends to meet in the middle. Dab some hot glue where the two ends connect, and on the ribbon underneath. Wait for this to dry so you don't burn yourself.
- 2). Fold the ribbon like a hot dog. In the same place that you put the glue before, put another dab of glue. Right in the middle you want the two halves to be connected with hot glue. Pinch the sides down from the outer part until the glue is dried.
- 3). Fold the ribbon one more time like a hot dog. This will make the ribbon very skinny, and it may be difficult to glue. Another small spot of glue needs to go into the middle again, holding all of the folds together. Hold until dry, and make sure everything is secured. Make a second bow tie with the second piece of ribbon.
- 4). Take both of your bow ties and cross them over each other, making an X. Together the smaller bow ties makes one large bow tie. Place glue on the middle of the bottom bow, and hold the top one on top until it dries. To bring the bow ties together you may need to glue the bottom of one bow half to the top of the other bow half below it. Fluff your bow tie until it's complete.
