How to Type a Letter to Santa
- 1). Have your parent or older sibling set you up on the computer. Choose a font that you like and start writing. Depending on your printer, you can write in various colors and even include pictures. To begin writing your letter, start by typing your greeting. "Dear Santa,"
"To Santa," or even "Dear Mr. Claus" will work nicely. Continue from there, making sure you are courteous and respectful by asking Santa how he has been. It is also a nice idea to mention some things you most love about the holiday season. - 2). Include your name in the letter. Even though Santa Claus knows who you are, including your full name, will help him easily find your letter. You can now continue the letter by stating the things you are hoping to receive for Christmas this year.
- 3). End the letter letting him know how good you have been all year. It is also a nice gesture to wish him well and to be safe in his travels over the holiday. End with a closing like; "Sincerely Yours" or "Thank You."
Make sure you do a spell check on your letter and proofread it before printing. Once you are sure your letter is exactly how you like it, press print. - 4). Place your letter into an envelope, seal it and put a stamp on it. Have a parent or older sibling help you get the address of your local post office. During the holiday season, Santa has lots of elves helping him at post offices all over the country. Therefore, address your letter to the following:
Santa Claus
(Your Local Post Office's Street Address)
(Your Local Post Office's City, State and Zipcode)
